CHAPTER 2
“I told you to dump that idiot,” she shouted angrily.
Nancy was ignorant to notice the fuming of her friend’s anger even she knew she was a fool in love.
” I still love him,” she murmured under her breath.
Precious looked at her questioningly while she popped the french fries in her mouth. She had invited Nancy to ‘Steers ‘ for a burger and chips .Nancy had to beg Monalisa to take her class just for a hour. She promised to be back on time. Precious wanted to gift her with something because she couldn’t celebrate her birthday with her on the previous day on her. She was disgusted to know what happened with Malvin on her birthday and kept on sighing when she glanced at her friend. Love made people fools.
” At least that lady made my birthday nice,” Nancy smiled trying to put the thoughts that brought sadness and pain.
” She got a good heart,” Precious looked serious and faked a smile.
She rummaged through her handbag and Nancy already knew she wanted to give her a present. When she saw the wrapped box,she grabbed it quickly.
” Can’t you even wait……… Just like those baboon at Bietbridge border that grab everything,” she chuckled.
In less than a minutes she was all smiles knowing she got a watch set for her birthday. It was worthy and she treasured it.
” You like it?”
” Its beautiful…. Thanks my friend,” she glanced at the necklace appreciating and wore it. She watched her reflection through the phone screen.
” I love it,thanks ,” she rubbed her hand and grinned.
Her phone rang and she checked it and sighed and put it on the table. Precious knew who was calling from her facial expressions..
” Don’t answer him”
It rang and rang until she took the phone again in her hands. Her thumb was hovering on the answering button but didn’t press it. Precious grabbed it and sighed harshly.
” Such a idiot”
She noticed the time , it was late and she rushed back to the nursery which was 10 minutes walk. As soon she reached the gate , someone was calling her behind. It was Malvin, a part of joy leaped in her heart. It felt good that Malvin hadn’t lost interest in her. She wanted to hug him,she had been longing for him but she wanted to let him know she was disappointed in him.
He was dressed in a white shirt tucked in a very trousers . He looked smart and sexy to him but she hide her smile. She looked down my shyly and draw a line on the ground playful.
” Babe, I’m sorry I left you on your birthday. I miss you,” he spoke sincerely.
His voice sounded genuine and she was smitten . The smile dents on his check made her melt that she laughed. It was difficult for her to resist. Her head was in the clouds again,love struck. The warmth of sun engulfed her. She was smitten over again. The air smelt beautiful again,as falling in love again. Sadness and pain vanished from her heart like wind,she acknowledged yesterday events were past and she was starting over. It was a beautiful day indeed,a new day for her.
” I love you,” he whispered in her ears and she chuckled.
” You forgive me?”
” Nancy….. What are you still doing there?” a voice shouted from the door.
Her heart pounded and raised her eyebrows and glanced. It was Monalisa ,she had jealous in her eyes. She walked towards them and Nancy took a deep breath and put her hands on her chest in relief. Monalisa nearly gave her a heart attack.
” I ‘ m done with your class…. You promised one hour you did be back …. Now its over a hour and 45 minutes,” she bickered and threw her hands in the air and checked her wrist watch harshly.
Nancy and Malvin giggled and looked at each other eyes once again . She wanted a new chapter with him and could feel he wanted the same. He mimicked the three magical words and she headed to the class. Monalisa frowned as she passed through her.
” Dinner tonight… Will send u details,” he said loudly and she looked back smiling.
