When it is silent and dark
under the African stars, you sat,
when dogs stopped to bark
under the tree, you spot a cat,
when stars begin to fall
and shadows begin to creep,
squeeze yourself against a wall
and try not to weep
because nature’s hazards abound,
we live in a world full of horrors;
horrible smells, sights and sounds
that mingle into a terrifying chorus,
but dear please don’t run
soon you shall see the sun.
