WARNING: This poem refers to sexual abuse.

You took advantage of me because I was vulnerable and naive
Just to satisfy your sexual desire
You tampered with my virginity
You took my dignity
You took my pride
You changed my life into pain
You made my life miserable
My clothes were covered with bloodstains
I couldn’t withstand the pain
Tears rolled down my face touching the same ground where my helpless body lay
I was a child with a bright future ahead
Just because I am a girl I must be raped
I cried but you ignored all my tears
Was my scream not loud enough for you to stop hurting me
I kept pleading you to stop hurting me but you didn’t
You were supposed to protect me, but you took advantage of me
You were not remorseful
You ruined my life
You took my innocence
You killed me from that day and I was never myself
Now I wear my scars with pride
You made me stronger than before

I hope you will reap what you sow
