Standing here with a hope of sunshine
At daylight I longed for a sign of direction
Like a sea man in search of the Northern Star
Standing here with brooding clouds above
The sound of the rain advancing downwards
While my eyes peeling the upward for a sign
Soon the summer rain will wash off my fears
Here am I standing in the rain with tears
Kissing the salty rain embracing my cheeks
So warming yet cold as ice to the soul
Kissing the rain it’s all I have to the moment
My hope of being sun kissed vanished in droplets
One can’t get all they wish for in this lifetime
I will settle for mother nature’s sweat and tears
Here am I standing kissing the un-kissable rain.
