Sunrise glitters in the village.
It fulfills the morning’s promise.
All serene, completely tranquil.

First are seen the children stirring,
Calling to their older siblings
Answer to their stomach’s longing.
Jubilation—they feel freedom.
Energetic, they are playing.

Mothers tend to humble duties,
Fathers carry on their business.
Just that quickly, land is living.

Perhaps they may not have it all;
They’re thankful for another day.
