It was on the 13th of May ’97 when Thabiso was released from prison, smiling as he looked at the sun he knew that had come. Thabiso was sentenced to 16 years for the murder of his sister Palesa, a crime he was framed for by Sizwe.

Tatted on his belly was a philosophy he had adopted while doing time, the words read, “KRIME”. The acronym stood for Kid Raised In a Miserable Environment, and was to be his movement outside prison.

Puffing on his cigarette he remembered how Sizwe had taken out the pistol with gloves and handed it to him, he remembered that he held the gun with bare hands and as a result left his fingerprints, a stupid move he made.

Sizwe knew that there was bad blood between Thabiso and his sister and he knew that if he killed Thabiso’s sister and framed him, everyone would believe it and that’s what he did.

Having read the 48 laws of power by Robert Greene, Thabiso believed in crushing his enemy totally and that was what he intended to do with Sizwe.

Posing as a friend, Thabiso approached Sizwe and asked for all the cans, bottles, papers, boxes for recycling and Sizwe agreed to that. Every Thursday Thabiso came to collect the recyclables, never making Sizwe aware of his devious scheme.

Then came December time, a time to celebrate, Thabiso precisely chose this time to strike back and give Sizwe a taste of his own medicine. Pretending to be a businessman, Thabiso called Sizwe and lured him to a desolated area, Sizwe fell for it and went.

While Sizwe was waiting for the businessman who had called him, Thabiso snuck into the house of Sizwe’s ex-wife, stabbed her with a bottle that had Sizwe’s fingerprints, and he lit his cigarette, slowly exhaling the smoke after leaving the ash of smoke on the flow, he left the cigarette bud that had Sizwe’s DNA, called the police and left.

Police came and took all the evidence they found at the crime scene. Two weeks passed and the results came from the lab all pointing at Sizwe. He had no alibi to back him up, thus going AWOL that day made it seem like he did it- he was sentenced to 16 years for the murder of her wife, which of course he didn’t commit.
