Dearest little girl. The youngest of three. The one who tried her best. The question is was she ever enough?

At a young age, she knew what she wanted to be. She worked hard. In primary school every single year she got a certificate stating that her academic performance was great! excellent! In high school the same. She knew her success was a never-ending cycle because it kept happening. The goals she placed. She achieved it.

From the school environment straight to university… “How?” She had it all and achieved it all just to get to university and experience a different learning environment. On her first test, she got 9/50. She was devastated and this is when she got discouraged. Her marks got lower and lower. She never had the best circumstances, step-father, but that didn’t keep her from being who she wanted to be at the end of the day.

She realised that there is a big difference between school life and university, but the sad truth is that no one informed her. You shouldn’t look for validation in things that you achieve.

You should know that you are enough and do not gaslight yourself about failure. Unfortunately, that is the only way you will learn to rise above! Achieve your goals. Every setback has a comeback!
