It was a fine morning in November when the gracious netball team were on their way to the netball court for the opening tournament. They travelled by taxi, the taxi was loud and the players were louder with excitement although they had no reserves in case of any mistake.

They reached the place and they came out of the taxi shouting, screaming and singing. Amanda the vice-captain sang the song “iwelele iyamawelele”. The rest of the team sang back up and they were very happy for the day. While they were still singing Mimi the captain exchanged numbers with the taxi driver so that when they are done playing they could be fetched.

They walked towards the netball court and they could hear a lot of cheering and chaotic noises. They were late so Mimi went to the registration table to finalise everything and she was told, “Mimi if your team wins it means it will be qualified for the Champions league.”

Mimi got excited about the news because wining the Champions league would uplift the team and take it to places. She filled all the forms and the team was playing on the 5th round, so Mimi walked towards her team to tell them the good news. Before she reached there she fell and dislocated her shoulder and ankle, she had a blackout and was rushed to the hospital and unfortunately, the gracious netball team got disqualified.
