There was this girl called Annie, she was 16 doing grade 10 at hillaria mthethwa secondary school in 2018. Annie was doing great at school until she reached grade 10. She was struggling a lot and no one was supporting her including her family except her oldest brother.

She ended up failing that grade and she needed to repeat it. All her siblings used to remind her that she failed grade 10, they used to call her names such as fool and a failure. It was hard for Annie to continue with the school since she was the only one repeating a grade in her family.

Annie had no support, her support from her brother wasn’t enough although it kept boosting her self-esteem that she can do it, it’s not the end of the world. Annie decided to work harder at school in order to obtain good marks and go to grade 11. She believed in “failure is part of life”.

Her life was getting worse each and every day but she didn’t give up. At the end of the year, Annie passed grade 10 and she was happy that she didn’t give up her brother’s support kept her alive through the pains she was going through being called names.
