I have always relied on what other people think but now that has to stop!

I turned seventeen on 29 August and change was noticeable. Who am I kidding? The metamorphosis took place a little while before and I could not be happier.

I am getting to a point of being a full adult and being in full control of my life. Being a shy, introverted and anxious young person will be my downfall but I am slowly trying to overcome it and be my best.

After matric, I hope I get a chance to get to varsity and not become a statistic. I want to pursue Media and English studies. I’ll possibly have my own radio station and even have several award-winning books published.

I can only achieve what I want if I try not to let people’s insecurities get me down. I’ll not allow people to project their fear and failed dreams onto me. I have to do what’s right for me. It’s a must!
