And finally we’ve reached the end of one long and boring year. That calls for a toast –

Here’s to being alive – We must be grateful for the fact that we are still alive, kicking, and, most importantly, reading. I am so grateful to have you in my life, though we’ve never met you. You are my greatest friends; listening to me ranting and raving and you’ve been there with me through my lowest.

It’s because of you that I’ve managed to keep my bra on through trials and tribulations; the times when I felt that I’ve reached the end of my existence. You’ve taught me to smile in the storms and thunders in case God’s taking pictures for exhibition in heaven.

I am proud to say that we’ve finished a year together. This has been the most educative year of my life. I’ve learnt to accept that friends betray you and desert you when you need them most, but they might be opening space for friends like Tee. I’ve learnt to accept that the fact that someone doesn’t love you back as you feel you deserve doesn’t mean love is unkind, you just have to keep on searching a little bit further and you might just stumble to a sweet guy like my Sebastian in a pub. My parents… that’s a topic I will rather not discus today – it might spoil my mood!

I would also like to send my wishes to the Grade 12s around the country; life outside school is very difficult, take it from me. And to all my fellow born-frees, this is our year to cast our votes, let’s exercise the right that has been won through blood, sweat and toil…

Let’s create new memories in this New Year.

With love
