This week I am going to be providing you with some really helpful tricks that can change your life and make your fashion experience that much better.

There are so many things that can go wrong when it comes to staying fashionable and looking good at all times. Things can happen unexpectedly and they can easily ruin your outfit and if you are a fashionista at heart you know how depressing you feel when random things just happen to you for example outfit gets torn or your make-up smudges or your button breaks. It’s just every fashionista’s nightmare to have this experience happen so unexpectedly. So I want to give you tips on how you can handle it and not let it handle your mood for the day.

Tips & Tricks

Easy make-up removal

Use coconut oil to remove your make-up ladies, and the great thing about this tip is that coconut oil is actually a good product to use for your skin as it will keep your skin moisturised and smooth.

Manicure

If you don’t have the steadiest of hands and want to do a french manicure, you don’t have to go and spend a fortine at the nail salon. Rather use PVC ring enforcements (you know those stickers you use to protect the punched holes on paper). Simply stick one on your dry nail so that the outer curve ends where you want you french tips to end and then paint over it. Carefully peel the sticker of and voilà; french tips! Alternatively you could use a rubber band pulled tight over the nail to guid your brush. Don’t forget: if you’re going to do your own nails file, buff and clean them thouroughly before you paint to keep them from chipping for longer.

Foundation

Mix your foundation with lotion. What I love about this trick is that it really helps you keep your foundation on for longer as it also helps your skin stay moisturised. It gives your skin a more natural looking foundation. If your foundation is expensive, this will help you keep it for longer because you will use only a small quantity.

Lipstick stains

Gents this can really help you too. For a quick way to remove unwanted lip stick stains use hairspray, now gents if you have sisters or girlfriends you know they should have a hairspray laying around, so this can really help you clean your shirts. Spray hairspray onto the stain and let it sit on the stain for a few minutes then gently wipe off the spray with a white cloth and rinse the shirt in warm water or wash accordingly.

Stockings’ static clinging

Most of us ladies have this problem with stockings causing our dresses or skirts to cling to our legs when we walk. So the best solution that really works well is to rub a small amount of lotion onto your hands then rub your palms over your pantyhose.

Removing lint or pet hair from clothes

I don’t like seeing lint on my clothes, I find it very annoying and same goes for pet hair. But there are some really cheap and easy way to handle it when it happens otherwise I would have to spend money buying a new item, which I had done in the past before I discovered this really simple tricks. For pet hair removal, use washing rubber gloves, I also used to think that they were just for washing dishes and cleaning the house with, but nope they can also be versatile. For removal of lint on clothing use lint roller, which is a white sticky paper that’s wrapped on a rolling pin, but you can buy this at the store at a really low price. If you’re not at home and don’t have a lint roller, then you can use duct tape which does just about the same thing.

For removal of bobbles on your clothes

For those of us who love wearing cardigans and sweaters you might have come across this issue and if you strive for perfection and get annoyed of bobbles like me than this next trick is for you. Most people tend to use shaving razor to remove bobbles, but I recently discovered that you can also use hair Velcro hair rollers and it works just the same but without the fear of tiring your clothes. I absolutely love buying things that I can use for more than one purpose and this is one of them.

Removing chewing gum from clothes

This is one of the most annoying things that I have come across and I really hate it when it happens to me. This can happen just about anywhere, you could be taking a seat and not realise that there is gum stuck on it or you could trip and fall onto one. When this happens the immediate response is to get it off your clothes as soon as possible or simply change your outfit, but there are some really simple tricks that you can use to remove it without damaging your clothes. One of the more common ways to remove gum is by using ice cubes, you put the ice cubes on the gum and wait for like 30 minutes and then remove the gum using a sharp object or you can just put your cloth into a plastic bag and put the part where the gum is stuck on top, put it in the freezer and remove it after a while, the gum should come off easy.

Another trick is to pour boiling water onto the part with gum and then rub it off with a tooth brush and it should come off. You can also use hair spray to remove gum, so I guess we all need to invest in hair spray as it can be used for a lot of things. But if you don’t have it, you can also use your iron to remove gum. Just put your clothing item with gum facing down onto a cardboard and iron, the heat from the iron will make removing the gum very easy.

There many other tricks you can do so these are just a few for now. I hope you found these few helpful tips useful, tell us what tips and tricks you have up your sleeves.
