Tuesday was international literacy day, but we are celebrating literacy and the importance of reading ALL month! This blog post is an A – Z of fun fashion trends, clothing or fashion and beauty related must-haves! Thanks to Rinchen for doing another fantastic blog. #Enjoy

A is for Accessories
Don’t forget your accessories when getting ready. You can doll up any outfit with just a few accessories!

B is for Braids
If you’re having a bad hair day, just put your hair into a stylish braid – problem solved! There are lots of different styles you can do. If you are struggling, just keep on practicing!

C is for Colour
It is finally almost summer – yay! I can’t wait to spend long, hot, summer days on the beach. Start adding bits of colour to your wardrobe to get into the summer feel!

D is for Dress
The days are starting to warm up and I am already starting to haul all my summer dresses out of my cupboard!

E is for Eyewear
Invest in a good, stylish pair of sunglasses for summer. A simple look can be transformed with some glamorous shades!

F is for Fringing
(Explain a bit what is fringing, for those of us who don’t know) A new fashion trend that can be seen on bags, clothes and shoes is fringing. Go wild and channel your inner hippy!

G is for Glamour
If you are unsure of what to wear, I think it is always best to dress in a glamorous fashion (like what? Give a bit of a dress code, maybe a “style”). You can never be overdressed, but it can feel awkward and uncomfortable if you don’t look nice enough (like for what occasion?).

H is for Hat
Hats are great – they can be used as a fashion accessory and can change the whole look and feel of an outfit. But, they also keep your face protected from harmful UV rays!

I is for Identity
The way you dress and present yourself to the world says a lot about you. Don’t be afraid to wear whatever you feel works for your fashion identity.

J is for Jeans
You can never go wrong with a pair of jeans! Skinny jeans, bootleg jeans, straight cut jeans, black jeans, stonewashed jeans, ripped jeans – there’s a pair for everyone!

K is for Knits
Although it is officially spring; there are still some very chilly days and cold nights. Don’t pack away your comfy knitted jerseys just yet!

L is for Lace
Lace is beautiful and I just can’t get enough of it! It can change an outfit and add a really lovely feminine touch without being too girly!

M is for Minimal
You know what they say – less is more. Sometimes the most beautiful and bold looks are minimalistic and simple.

N is for Nail-polish
I have loved painting my nails in dark reds and greys for the past few months during winter. But I must admit, I’m really looking forward to some light and bright colours soon.

O is for Oversized
I love channelling my inner tom-boy and wearing oversized tees and baggy jeans. It’s a great look and is super comfy: which is always a plus!

P is for Pattern
As the warmer weather has started to arrive, so have all the patterns. Don’t be afraid to be bold and mix and match different patterns.

Q is for Quality/Quantity
Unless you’re one of the few lucky people who can buy both quantity and quality clothing or fashion items, you are going to have to make a choice, about whether you want a few very good quality pieces or lots of bad quality pieces, that don’t cost a fortune.

R is for Risk-taker
You are not living, if you aren’t a fashion risk-taker. Sure, some outfits just won’t work, but confidence is key to any look! Work it, girls (and boys)!

S is for Swimwear
Summer is just around the corner and whether you feel that your body is bikini ready or not, I hope to see all of you on the beach rocking your new summer swimsuits!

T is for Takkies
Everyone needs a pair of takkies for those days when you might want to look a bit more edgy or casual. Forget heels, takkies are a girl’s best friend!

U is for Unique
Always be unique! Oscar Wilde said: “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken!”

V is for Vintage
If you are a little tight on cash, try shopping at a second hand shop. You can find really cute, cheap, vintage pieces that you won’t see anyone else wearing!

W is for Wardrobe
Don’t forget to do regular wardrobe clean outs. There are always going to be people who need and will wear the clothing you don’t!

X is for X-ray Fabric
This sheer fabric with a translucent effect was a popular trend on the spring/summer catwalks last year.

Y is for Young
I don’t like it when people say that you need to dress for your age. As long as you feel comfortable, then that is all that matters!

Z is for Zippers
I love zippers and think that they can also be used as a fashion accessory or add a bold addition to an otherwise boring piece of clothing.

So, empowered with you’re A-Z fashion tips, put a spring in your summer wear and stay Trendi!
