Dear Diary

If you could go back in time and change something, would you? If you could warn yourself against certain events that happened when you were younger, would you? What would we say to our 16-year-old selves now that we’ve seen the world as adults?

From a 25-year-old
It may seem like there are eyes on you all the time, which makes you self-conscious but believe me, no one is looking at you; they are too busy worrying about themselves – just like you. Life is short, live it to your fullest. And you might want to tell your grandfather that you stole his CDs and gave them to your friends😊.

Love, B.

From a 32-year-old
You will move to another country; you will experience lots of hardships, but in the end, it will all be worth it. You will be able to speak more than three languages, and you will get your family where you prayed for them to be; don’t stop fighting.

Love, Promise.

A message from a 51-year-old
Don’t be afraid, live your life. Take chances and learn from your mistakes. Go and study as early as you can. Find an advisor that can help you make sound financial decisions. Oh, and maintain a relationship with a broader circle of friends.

Love, Levona.

To this day, I wish someone would have taught me from a young age that I should take care of my skin. That’s a small thing, but there have been many more significant realisations the older I get.
