Latest Update:
At midnight on Tuesday 15th June South Africa moved to an adjusted form of Alert Level 3 because the country is officially in the third wave and infections have risen sharply and continue to rise. It is more important than ever to try and limit the spread of covid and the strain on hospitals to care for those affected. Wearing masks and social distancing are vital and avoiding large gatherings. Here are the main changes:

There is a curfew from 10pm – 4am. Restaurants, gyms and public places such as parks will close at 9pm. The consumption of liquor in public places, except in licensed on-site consumption premises, is not permitted. The sale of liquor by a licensed premises for off-site consumption is only permitted from 10pm to 6pm, from Mondays to Thursdays, excluding Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Not more than 50 people can attend funerals. Night vigils are not allowed. After-funeral gatherings, including “after-tears” gatherings, are not allowed.

Please stay safe and help to stop the spread!
