Just as Kamva’s about snap and tell her everything and about Samuel and how he used to feel about her, he is disturbed by a slight accident that had just happened on their way to school. As they were busy walking on the pavement, a lady had been knocked down by a car trying to cross the road, but when they check from far, she’s not dead and people are coming to watch: more and more, coming in groups to look at this terrible incident that has just happened unexpectedly…It’s so sorrowful. Kamva and Sonti then go because they will be late for school.

Luckily when Sonti and her mother arrived at their new village they got help from Kamva’s mother who was not so drunk anymore to look for a school around, it wasn’t that hard for them to find a school and the nicest thing of all was that she was going to be in the same grade with Kamva, they both would be in grade 11 and in the same class,Sonti’s mother was quite happy with the decision she made so that Sonti would get used to the place.

At first, Kamva was afraid of hanging out with the new girl that now their friendship had grown but followed obstacles too because many guys wanted this hot chick Kamva was hanging out with. Kamva tries his best to get these boys off her back by saying Sonti’s already taken, but the other boys still ask her out.

Kamva watches Samuel’s every move, because the last time he saw them, he was having sex with Sonti. He feels rage every time he thinks about it, he even thinks about telling Sonti’s mom what she gets up to when she’s at work, but then realises it will only push her away more.

Kamva feels like she has made a bad decision by hanging out with that guy decision by hanging out with that guy and his friends. Every time the teacher leaves the class Samuel jumps from his desk to Sonti’s and they talk, not actually knowing what the conversation is about, Kamva suspects that she must be dating him, and each time Sonti answers a question in class, Samuel’s pride is released as if he is the one giving the correct answer. This behaviour has been going on for weeks and even the teachers are beginning to get suspicious.

Sonti doesn’t walk with Kamva since their last argument, and she even said herself that if he doesn’t get his acts right, she’s going to walk with someone else, but Kamva already knew who that someone else was, even though Sonti doesn’t know that Kamva saw her and Samuel on that Friday.

Alone in his room Kamva’s thinking of a way to approach Sonti so that he can also tell her how he’s been feeling about her all this time, but never got the chance to express, but there is always a question that meanders through Kamva’s mind that what if Sonti tells him she doesn’t like him? How would that feel? There is a chance he could get hurt. It would’ve been easier at the time they first met, but then it was all about proving friendship and working together, but now all that has changed as Samuel has snatched Sonti and the worst part was that they had had sex. It will be difficult to get Sonti to love Kamva, and he knows it.

At home, Kamva’s been lifting up some weights, he decides to train since he won’t be visiting Sonti anytime sooner. Every time he picks up some weights, he does it as if he’s going box someone, he is overtraining.

“You know what? I’m tired of these childish acts, let it be Sonti who decides who to love, whether it’s me or Samuel.” He says to himself.

Then Kamva goes to Sonti’s room and finds her eating.

“Oh, it’s you again, I thought you are not my friend, what do you want, Kamva?”

“Sonti I know that you had sex with Samuel.” Says Kamva.

“Oh God, how did you find out! Please don’t tell my mom, please Kamva, I’ll do anything.” Sonti says with desperation.

“But Sonti, that’s not the reason why I’m here, Sonti I wanted us to be together again…what I mean is that I…..love you.”

“What! Kamva, did you just say that to me?” Sonti enquired.

“I’m sorry Sonti if you don’t want me, I’ll understand.”

“No, Kamva what I mean is that I have been waiting for you to say that for like forever,” Sonti says with a shock.

“Really?” Kamva asks.

“Kamva, I also love you, and if I were a boy, I would’ve told you what you failed to tell me earlier.”

“So, what are you going to do with Samuel?” Kamva asks Sonti.

“Don’t worry about that loser, I just wanted to be cool, but it did not work, that’s not me, the real me wants to be with you and work.” Says Sonti.

And then Kamva kisses Sonti and she also allows him to take control and lead her. They are then happily in love. At the end of the year, Sonti passes with flying colours and so does Kamva.
