“Senzo, I wish you well on your journey, my friend, but to tell the truth, I wish I were in your shoes right now. I would also love to be in university.”

“Don’t worry, Kamva, you just need to work hard and I promise you if you do that, I will even open my shoelaces for you since you would like to be in my shoes.”

Kamva laughs. “Very funny Senzo, come on, let me help you with your bags, we need to go before the taxis get full, you don’t want to end up on those long queues in town, you’ll end up arriving late in Johannesburg, bro.” Says Kamva.

“Is everything packed now, Senzo?”

“Yes, but what about the big suitcase you’re holding, my brother? Did you check carefully if everything’s, there Kamva?”

“Yes, Senzo.”

“Okay, wait here, Kamva, let me go and say goodbye to my mother since she won’t be able to accompany me, and my baby sister.”

“Okay, let’s talk as we go, but don’t worry too much, Kamva, you will find new friends. I saw the new girl who just arrived at your neighbourhood: she’s beautiful, Kamva, you have to befriend her.”

“You are talking nonsense, Senzo.” Says Kamva and calls out to the taxi.

“Taxi!”

Then they both shake hands as Senzo gets into the taxi and tells Kamva to think about it because that new girl that just arrived is beautiful and she’s Kamva’s neighbour, which makes things interesting.

“Okay Senzo, eish, you can be so insistent, I’ll check up on the girl and take her as my new friend. Don’t get any big ideas.” Says Kamva. The taxi then leaves.
