They walked and walked and until they were out their town. There were amazing lights, buildings structures that reached to the sky and big statues of great leaders who fought for its freedom. It was a good thing the trees being enhanced by science medicine were very big that they provided shade to protect them from the sun, or they would have been toasted.

“We’re almost there bro, don’t worry,” L said to put his brother at ease.

Suddenly they crossed to a dusty road and as soon as they reached the other side of the road, a stench came over them. T looked at a place L was pointing at but he saw nothing but a dusty road with pot holes and people whose skin looked very dry with red holes. This was caused by the harmful rays of the sun and their eyes looked as though they were going to come out of their eyes. They lived in shacks that were very rusty and weren’t suitable for people or anything that breathes.

“What is this? I thought the government was trying by all means to ensure that everyone gets the same things,” T asked in shock.

“Yes big bro, the government is trying but there are just too many people. I mean about 400 million of the 800 million plus population of our country still live in such conditions. The crash of the economy or so I’ve heard in 2020, and the political unrest led to such situation today.” L explained briefly.

“Wow!” T exclaimed.

“The reason I want to win this competition so badly is so that I could help out here a little.” L said in a soft voice.

T was surprised of how the world was. He always ignored J when he talked about such stuff but seeing it forced him to see that not everyone lived in a mansion with comfy beds. Not everyone had computers to play with. But what surprised T the most was how his younger had grown. He thought he wanted to win the competition because he wanted to buy something like expensive clothes, ‘cause he liked clothes.

T suggested that they should go the park and chill there before going home.

They sat at the park and talked more about the poor people and before they knew it, the sun was setting and they went home.

“Tomorrow I’m going to beat you in sprinting,” T said whilst preparing to sleep.

“You wish big bro, good night.” L said in his sleepy voice.

Before T knew it L was fast asleep, he was a quick sleeper.

“Tomorrow I won’t mind what people are saying or thinking. I’m just going to have a good time with my brother and help him get ready for the competition.” T said as he got in his bed.

The next day all was well, the brothers jogged and went to the sports field. They sprinted like never before and T tried by all means to not think about everyone around him. He focused on his brother and when they finished sprinting, they went to the park and chilled there.

“I’ve made a decision to enter the competition,” T said in a serious voice.

“Wow, that’s amazing big bro,” L said. He was happy about what he’d heard.

“So tomorrow let’s make sure that the prize money comes home with either one of us, L” T said enthusiastically.

They both headed home and decided to watch some local news on T’s computer. The competition was on in every news channel, everyone was talking about it. The brothers decided to get an early night for the competition. Tomorrow is going to be a good day, T thought to himself as he lay in bed and fell asleep.
