“Big bro! Big bro!” a voice shouted in T’s sleep. The voice got louder and louder and T opened his eyes. A figure was standing before him and he moved his head and opened his eyes wider in shock. He quickly got up as he saw clearly who the figure was. He gulped loudly and grabbed hold of the figure’s hand as he went in for a hug.

“Little bro. L! I can’t believe it’s really you,” T said in an emotional way.

“Come, on here’s a sit. So how did you get here, L?” T asked curiously.

“Well, the drones were going deliver me in those cold leather boxes of theirs, but I told the Super Scientists that I could walk on my own, I needed the fresh air anyway,” L said as he got up on to the fridge to grab something to eat.

T felt like he’d been given a second chance at being a brother, even if it was only for a week. He wanted his brother to feel very welcomed and to know that he was loved by his big brother.

“L, the competition is in two days, so we don’t have much time, we have to get you ready.” T said as he took his Game Station and put it away. He didn’t want any distractions.

“Yes big bro, I know. But I’ll have to prepare at the sports field downtown, I’m headed there right now, guess I’ll catch you…”

“No way, I’m coming with you,” T interrupted. L was surprised, he knew his big brother didn’t like going outside. It made him very happy to see that his big brother was no longer living like a caged animal.

“OK let’s go then. We’ll jog around town for a while and then go to the sports field to do some sprinting,” L said whilst putting on his running costume.

They got into their running costumes and they headed out.

“L, I hope you can keep up,” T said as he got out of the gate of the Mansion.

“Of course I can, you know I’m a born runner,” L said catching up to T.

T saw how the town had improved and all the beautiful houses that he had never seen before. They saw lot of people also jogging on the other side of the road.

“They must be preparing for the competition also,” T said, looking at the other side of the road.

“Yes big bro, but they’re not going to win, the winner is right here,” L said in a proud voice.

They jogged up until they reached the sports field where there were many people of different races and genders. T suddenly felt very nervous, the people were too many for his comfort. He started to look down more as they were entering the sports field. If it were up to him he would turn back now and head home to play his game.

“Big bro, is everything good?” L asked in concern.

“Yah, yah, everything’s good L.” T responded quickly.

They sat down on some benches, stretching their arms and legs getting ready to sprint. T was not feeling like himself, he was sweating more than anyone and his heart was beating very fast. He was feeling like everyone was looking at him and they were talking badly about him. It didn’t help that some were talking in languages he didn’t understand.

“Let’s go big bro, let’s start sprinting,” L said excitedly.

“OK, let’s run as fast as possible,” T said as he started sprinting.

They ran as fast as they could and they were both good runners, but T was faster. People at the park were looking at the brothers because of their amazing speed. Again the eyes staring at T made him uncomfortable and he paced down.

“What’s wrong big bro, already tired?” L asked as he passed T.

“No, was just giving you a chance to catch up,” T said.

Their sprinting exercise seemed to last forever for T. He was continuously worrying about what everyone was saying or thinking about him.

“I think we better head back home, the sun is starting to be too much,” L said in a loud voice as he stopped and waited for his brother who was close by.

T felt relieved that they were leaving the sports field and going back to his comfort zone. The sun had been too hot for him for quiet some time, but he didn’t want to tell L that he didn’t want to stay anymore because of the sun and the crowd, which according to him, were talking about him. They went to the bathrooms of the sports field and took quick showers. When they were done they headed out of the sports field.

The only thing on T’s mind was his comfortable bed and computer, but mostly his Game Station.

“Big bro, before we go home can we pass through somewhere, I want to show you something,” L said in a begging manner. T, even though curious of what L wanted to show him, wished he could say no. He wanted to go and be on his computer but then he didn’t want to make his brother sad.

“Sure, let’s go.” T said as convincingly as he could.
