I always thought marriage was easy. I believed that when you loved someone enough to commit, then you have no secrets and you’re not lured by infatuation or lust.

My name is Trevor Mana, I am 26 years old and married to Margaret Sino. I love my wife so much but sometimes we fight. After 3 years of dating, I decided to marry her because I found her to be my real soulmate. During my relationship with her, I loved skirts, sometimes I did cheat on her. She didn’t attend to my needs then and I didn’t want this to happen during my marriage life. I wanted to change but how could I, if she couldn’t maintain my needs? I found her unattractive in later days.

“Baby, no breakfast! What were you doing all morning?” I asked curiously.

“You know I work Baba, I told you to get a maid,” she answered, as usual.

It was like this every day since we got married. She couldn’t make me breakfast or even massage me after work. She wanted a maid to do everything, even to wash my underwear. I refused. I would rather do it myself.

“Trevor, you need to sit down with your wife and tell her what you like and don’t like,” Eddie said at work one day while we were having tea.

“They told me they disciplined her and even told her how to treat me,” I answered.

“Communication helps, see what Sarah does for me but we are not even married,” he said.

“She is sending me to the vultures. She knows I used to cheat but now this, I’m sure going to find a side dish too,” I said angrily.

“Trevor, you will hurt her,” he said, standing up.

“She will never know,” I said, thinking hard about it.

Yes, I would hurt her deep down but she was hurting me deeply. I did my accounts. At the end of the day, I was exhausted. I heard a beep on my phone. It was a message from Eddie.

Let’s meet at home for a drink.

Great. You made my day buddie.

I went straight home and found it so quiet. I knew Margaret was not home yet, but where was she? She was always late with cooking supper. I went to shower, got dressed in my jeans and a striped shirt and sprayed on some nice cologne. When I was heading to the door I heard my wife coming from the front door.

“Are you leaving?” She asked and looked at me.

“I am having a drink with Eddie,” I answered and left. No goodbye kiss, no greeting hug. I found no pleasure any more in this marriage. It was as if we were complete strangers.

I drove my car to Eddie’s, happy that I could forget my problems. I arrived and knocked at the door. Since the lights were all on, I assumed he was home. I didn’t hear any footsteps coming to open for me. Thinking they didn’t hear the knock, I knocked again.

Sarah opened the door dressed in a sexy outfit. She looked irresistible. I adored her since Eddie started dating her. I’d had my eyes on her for a while if I were not married.
