The following term, after the holidays, Martius joined the school. He was also Andrew’s very close friend. One day, Martius was with Blessings on their way to school, and Andrew was walking behind them. On the other side of the road, there was a dog and Andrew spoke when he saw it.

“Martius, I think that dog belongs to you,” Andrew said. “Did you bring it with you?”

“Aaaaaa, it’s you,” Marthius said. “You were behind us, so why didn’t you say you’re behind us? I could have waited for you.”

“Don’t worry, but how is it?” Andrew asked.

“Good bra, and you?” Marthius responded.

“Cool,” Andrew said. “Bressings, hey.”

“Hey, but my name is not Blessing,” Blessings responded.

“So, tell me your name,” Andrew said.

“My name is Yassne,” Blessings said.

“What? That’s a white name. Besides, I always hear them call you Blessings in class,” Andrew said.

After speaking, Blessing walked to the other side of the road and Andrew remained behind. Andrew then told Martius all about Blessings and asked him if he could help him proceed with making his intentions known to her, and Martius agreed to.

Later that day, Andrew met up with Kelvin. “Kelvin, I need you to do me a favour,” he said to him.

“Yes, what is it?” Kelvin responded.

“I need for you to write me a second letter proposing that girl again,” Andrew said.

“Okay, but promise me you’ll give it to her yourself,” Kelvin responded.

“Don’t worry bra, I’ll do it,” Andrew said.

After their conversation, Kelvin wrote the letter and gave it to Andrew, and Andrew took it to Martius in order for him to give it to Blessings.

“Man, this is the letter, please give it to her,” Andrew said.

“Okay, I’ll do it after classes, when she’s going home,” Martius responded.

“Okay,” Andrew said.

After classes Martius took the letter to Blessings. “Hey, so we meet again,” he said. “Are you going home?”

“No, I’m not, I have work to do before going home,” Blessings responded.

“But you know, this other guy sent me to give this to you,” Martius said, handing Blessing the letter.

“Let me see it, this one?” Blessings asked. “He doesn’t talk to me, so how can you expect me to accept him? If I do, I think he’ll run when he sees me. I told the first one he sent the same thing, and that’s the answer I’ll say now.”

“Okay, I’ll tell him,” Martius responded.

During the time when Martius was with Blessing, Andrew was with Nelson in class, waiting for the news Martius would bring him. After a while, Martius came with the news

“Man, she said the answer is the same as the one she gave the first guy, but you don’t talk to her,” Martius said.

“It’s not that I don’t want to talk to her, I really want to, but I always fail when I try to do it,” Andrew responded.

“Man, to make thing clear, I think you should go alone,” Martius said.

After two days, Andrew gained some courage and spoke to Blessings. “Blessings wait for me, let me escort you,” he said.

“Okay,” Blessings responded.

“Why are you knocking off so early, are you in a hurry?” Andrew asked.

“No,” Blessings responded.

“I want to talk to you, can I?” Andrew asked.

“Tell me while we’re walking,” Blessings responded.

“Okay, it looks like I’m messing up with you, but I’m really serious,” Andrew said.

“Did the friends you sent tell you what my answers were?” Blessings asked.

“They said I should came alone,” Andrew responded.

“Before you talk, first ask me if I’m in a relationship or not,” Blessings said.

“Are you?” Andrew asked.

“Yes,” Blessing responded.

After the response, Andrew had no words to say. After a while, a car stopped nearby and picked Blessings up, and Andrew went back feeling sad, with no words to say. After everything, Andrew went to get his schoolbag, which he had left with Bado before escorting Blessings.

“Hey, how did it go?” Bado asked.

“My friend, it was worse than I had expected it to be,” Andrew responded. “She told me to ask before I talked, and I think I’m not her level.”

“I think it’s better that you got an answer, and I hope you’ll forget about her,” Bado said.

“I think so too,” Andrew responded.

“Have a nice day, my friend,” Bado said.
