“Please give me money I am hungry, I have no home,” a visually impaired man cried, as he strode holding a stick in his hands. He had a pink plastic in his hands. He always walked around the shops begging. He wore baggy trousers with an untucked shirt. His shoes were dusty and his lips were dry like a scrapped car. His eyes were covered with black glasses so no one could see them. He didn’t care about what people said to him as long he could survive with the little he could get. He would eat later after; begging in the streets was his work!

“Thank you so much. God bless you,” he said gently and delighted. He clapped hands like a child with a big smile on his face.

Every day he would stroll around the shops until evening and change his outfit. No one dared to know where the man came from. Everyone had too much business going on in their lives to notice other people’s lives.

When darkness started to creep in he removed the glasses and walked faster to his house. He made sure no one recognised him. He changed his clothes into clean fit clothes and pushed his stick under his bed and counted the coins he made through the day.

“Screw you people, you think I can survive this shit,” he spoke furiously and slipped his coins in his pocket and left the house.

Lazarus jumped in his car and drove to a bar ten minutes away. Three man dressed in black waited for him. Chido, Tho and Danny, his partners in crime.

“Bro, what’s our target today?” Chido asked wiping his hand on his black slacks. His other hand held a cigarettes. Chido smoked while the others only drank.

“We hit the supermarket in Bree today,” Lazarus sighed. The other men looked at each other puzzled. They knew it was impossible and hard to steal from that supermarket.

“We can’t do that, there is so much security,” Danny said loudly. They all looked at him.

“Ssssshhhh,” Lazarus warned raising his hand.

“It’s either that or we go home with nothing!” Danny and Chido shook their heads but Theo smiled.

The trio robbed supermarkets at night and Theo had just joined that day and didn’t know what challenges he would meet.

“There is too much security,” Chido warned. Lazarus touched his shoulder and looked at him creepily.

“I know… we need a plan that will work. There is too much money to lose,” Lazarus said with authority. They kept quiet for five minutes thinking of a way to enter the supermarket without being caught.

“I will act like I was hit by a car and those security guards will come straight to me and you do it fast and get all money in there,” Theo suggested. They all looked at him and smiled with hope.

“It’s your first time but you are already wiser.” Lazarus shook his hand. Chido and Theo both shook his hand too and they all smiled and laughed that they would be rich today.

“I will come from the left with battered clothes and fake blood and faint in front of the shop. You have ten minutes to steal the money right?” Theo ordered. Lazarus didn’t like it because he wanted to be the leader but they all had no plan so he had to allow it.

They strolled to the market with hoods.

“I need a bottle of tomato sauce and clothes that I will tear to make it look real.”

“I love that we have a person with wisdom in our team and I can’t wait till it’s all over,” said Lazarus.
