I am a child
Who was born and raised in a society that is shaped by
Parents and
Peers
A society that has expectations of certain
Behaviours,
Principles and
Morals
But a question still rings in my ears day and night
Who am I?
The country is going south
Others within it are going
East,
West and
North
But where do I go?
Cultures clash with religions
Parents clash with children of their own
Teenage pregnancy,
Drugs and
Crimes
Are no longer seen as shocking any more
They have become one with us as a society
One day I looked at myself in the mirror
Who am I?
I am not my past
Not my present
But I will be someone else in the future
