We didn’t have enough (chess sets)
so we decided art for art’s sake!

Song-catcher Shiloh Noone is
engaged in an Enlighten Education Trust
young girls pictured
happily, booked they are
with books on shelves behind them.

We didn’t have enough (chess sets)
so we decided art for art’s sake

Art as you well know is
under-funded,
under-resourced,
under the radar and
underestimated too!

It’s not just
art for art’s sake!

For example,
a children’s rights NGO
the Butterfly Art Project
is touching hearts
with art.

Many flowers are blooming there,
their Heart for Art programme
empowering young and older
to spread their wings.

Healing through art,
there is art through healing.

A while ago,
out Site C Khayelitsha-way
the Whizz ICT Centre’s
holiday programme-end
Art is the way was the slogan
(where many flowers bloomed)

It’s not just
art for art’s sake

Young Shiloh Noone busies himself
when he is not on his Saturday night
Magic Bus!
The Butterfly Art Project, out Vrygrond way,
was started by a German art therapist.
