We are the sad youth.
We eat the fruits of the fighters,
We walk on the beloved country they fought,
Study the education they died for,

We eat the fruits that are shattered from one tree
In a farm full of many trees,
We walk on the land fought for but never got,
Study the education of no benefiting outcomes.

I hear the cry of the oppressed black youth,
That went deep in the mud of bad luck,
Engaged in things we were never ready for,
Drowning in drugs to drown our frown from the future,
The youth of rights and democracy,
Our souls out for transparency.
