Sagacious, that’s my mother She raised me pennilessly I was always jubilant for she made me I wore ancient clothes but here I am today But here I am today

Mama, forgive me for being villainous Mama, I’ve been unappreciative I have been idiotic also But Mama, I love you so much

I have been insolent but you said, “Hey, listen” I closed my ears but you said, “Hey, listen” I called you feeble but you said, “Hey, listen”

I said that you were wrong I said that you were nothing But today you are something that I’ve come to realise You are my mother, my goddess

I treasure and value you a lot, mother I was just blind all along But this is a poem to thank you, mother The world is never better with you in it but it’s best
Because you are my world
