His hair glided in the wind
His eyes opened to a world of eternity
No crown upon his head
though I knew he was the Messiah
no royal garments
but a simple robe

From the water side he gathered me up
in strength and my hope was restored
he walked with me gazed
into my longing heart
longing for a companion, a father
he gave me all he had
He said I will always be with you
fear not, I love you

I fell to my knees to worship him
and he held my rags of toil and fault
and gave me joy unending
rivers of living water were
bursting within me my king had come
praise the Lord
