Hey mom,
Remember I said I’d
get back to you
in my last piece
I ever wrote about you?
Well,
I have kept my promise;
You could have named me Promise
Anyways,
rainy days
have seen me begging
from millionaires
with lots of nightmares;
They know nothing about peaceful nights
though they’ve reached greater heights
“Wealth doesn’t guarantee good health”
so I’ve learned –
Good lessons
never come from a classroom
I assume

Lust for love
left me in the deep end
of an ocean;
I could barely feel a portion
of my heart
Can I be excused
from being used?
It’s really been long,
I long for tranquility
and equality
for all those who seek love
without limitations;
To hell with imitations!
I fear no man with big muscles
except the one with broken dreams;
Calories are nothing
compared to depression

Dear mom,
someday
I’ll make a turn by heaven
to see if heaven
is really a haven
Though you’ve become fossils,
someday we’ll join forces
