Take a turn and brighten this Age
So dark and hopeless
By making a way
Though it may take only the brave
Do while you can
For next is the grave.
Step in and stand for others a day
So weak and tired
A shoulder to give
For life is a trip, a journey they say
And so short it seems
So tenderly live.
A smile or a hug can impart the lives
Of some who are lonely
Or homeless and frail
I’d promised and prayed to honestly give
To never get tire
For such is the way.
Please take a turn and brighten the day
So sad and hopeless
The poor man to give
“It’s hard and useless” For many will say
But great are the powers
If we’ll take a turn to tenderly give.
