The words that mattered most to me were
The words of my mother spelling out love
From the distance, just a phone call away.
As I lay in bed, listening to the waters hugging
The shores complemented by the thoughts of pearls
And the sound of my mother’s voice on the other end,
Spelling out love like the enjambment.
If love was defined as English I would say
That she is that enjambment,
Seemingly running through my mind and soul.
And jump to the next line of the book of my heart
With no pause, that day I cried in pain and all
She said was “I love you, me One.”
