To be laughed and spat at
To be told how to act
To be the biggest topic
To catch the cat-eying and claws pointing

To wish that people would stop judging and laughing
To hope that they would keep their institutionalized and internalized ‘phobia’ to themselves

Some people know how it feels to hide your true nature
To hide how comfortable you are in your own skin
To hide how happy you feel in that make-up and those heels
To always have to hide because of people’s stereotyping
To be afraid that your parents might disown you
Even to be repudiated by loved ones
To stop being told how to talk, walk, hold or fold

To sleep on a wet pillow because of breaking down every night
Some people know how it feels to run from critics at home but get patronised on the streets
To feel alone
Unhappy
Get crazy remarks

Some people know how it feels to look in the mirror and wear what you want to, but take it off before anyone sees you
Some people know how happy that makes you
Some people know how it feels to be LGBT
To deal with ignorant homophobic trolls

and some people don’t
