We left our homes in a hurry,
not knowing what the future holds,
our vision was blurry.

We walked miles under the night sky.
with a million thoughts in our minds.
Survival was our loudest cry.

Now we have reached our destination,
we still don’t know what tomorrow may bring
and we have never known harmony.

We are treated as if we are not of the colour.
We are all of the colour of the African soil.
We are all one at this hour.
