You fought for our freedom
so our kings can live peacefully in their kingdoms
You strived for my freedom,
but today I’m being robbed of my freedom
You tried your best to fight apartheid
But apartheid never went extinct
apartheid still exists,
It exists in another manner
It now comes in the form of nepotism.
Those who are qualified don’t get jobs
But those who are not, do get jobs
You must be tossing and turning wherever you are
Cos all that you’ve sweated for, has now vanished
But above all, you tried your level best.
