Isolated incidents of nature
came crawling like snakes and spiders,
slowly to a creep mere shuddering
in frames witnessed with slow eyes pass…
Marking each mirrored movement
symmetrically left to right,
like the hands of an orchestral conductor…
Composing a grand symphony
made of might and magic,
Calypso in destruction’s teeth
made new sustained life
for a new day coming.
As I watch the serpent’s eyes,
and the spider’s eyes approach near,
and watch the shadows before me pass.
