Am I in love?
I sometimes wonder…
You have painted London red, along with my heart
The streets chant your anthem,
My heart choruses your name,
Belting out, “One-Nil to the Arsenal!” so off-tune

What have you done?
My heart’s hijacked from the nest of my ribs
Only Arsenal pumps the rich red liquid
The same shade as London’s pool of scarlet shirts

Oh! Have I been gunned too?
By the gunner-shots?
Piercing my iron self
With a red-coated Cupid’s arrow

Is this an obsession?
One too many times told to switch sides,
As stubborn as an ox, I am
I have stood true
I am, after all,
A Gooner always with the Gunners
