I remember when I lost my grandmother
I thought my life was over.
I thought I was dreaming when I saw her in a coffin.
I thought my life would be nothing without her.
But here I am today.
I remember the old days we had together.
I remember the stories we shared together as a family.
I wish I could say “God please give me back my granny.”
I remember the day I came back from school tired and she asked for tea.
I made her a cup because she was my granny.
