I am already up for debate
Yet I always provide government with a rebate

I have been around for ages
I also tend to come in stages
Easy to find
Simply because I don’t mind

I mature with age
But sometimes I inflict rage
We can take it slow or lightning fast
After that you will get flashbacks of your past

At a price I will be any man’s friend
I tend to offend
However I always try to mend
In the end others use me to apprehend

At the end of the day
I create nothing more but a memory
Something you can place in your treasury.
