The timeous jokes I cracked,
For once in my life I combed my hair, brushed my teeth and washed my school socks.
I attended all the classes we had in common,
I raised up my hand in class and said the correct answer for the first time.
Dear, you made my life worth living.
As to how, I have no idea.

I gave you my woolly jersey,
Gave you my last penny to buy lunch,
Gave you my time,
Gave you my life, my all.
My pride, humanity and prestige.
Didn’t you notice all that?

The galleries and museums we visited,
That crap I ate,
Those ballet shows I bought tickets for,
Those opera performances you asked me to come watch,
I did it all for you.
