I am Proud of who I am,
I am Proud of what I have,
I am Proud of my surroundings,
But mostly,
I am Proud of who I am and where
I come from.

I am not ashamed of my background
That’s where my experiences comes from,
I am not ashamed of my parents,
I am because they are.

The pride I have, no-one can get me down,
No-one can sabotage me in all my trials.
I am thankful to those who uplift me when I’m down.

Those around me might try to bring
Me down, but I won’t fall flat
My pride is what makes me
Who I am!
