Don’t touch,
It read.
Stay far,
They said.
It ain’t good for you and your mind,
It will pollute your innocence.
Stay far from it,
Don’t indulge in the forbidden,
Don’t swallow,
It is poison.
Never go deep, stay shallow
This a pit,
The hole of darkness.

Regardless of all warnings,
In the midst of all signs,
My tongue itched for a taste,
A scratch only disobedience can provide.

It doesn’t matter the time spent in the desert,
Water will always be the throat’s friend,
Relationship with no end,
Till the muscles die
And the bones dry.
If you deny me the fruit,
At least cut off the tree
Or seal my mouth quite.
