Hoping for the glowing future
Our hearts suffocated by unceasing studies
Our attention to our lecturers, we are a lender
And our searching minds to books we surrender

We bury ourselves in heaps of books
Through night to night
Our burning desires unquenched
Only hoping tomorrow, there will be much light

They taunt us, ‘slaves of books’
Though there is freedom at the end of this slavery
Their faces masked by freedom without responsibilities
Only falling in a trench of poor slavery

Let our eyes be opened to bright future
That will shine brighter like the sun
Bringing much light to our darkened days
And compensate our endurance nights and hard-working hours
