“I am loved.”
“I am capable and I am worthy.”
After reciting those self-affirmations I felt like a new person. All the things that used to hurt me and hold me back had vanished completely. Until something came up again. Something that used to break me and that I’d thought was gone, came back again. I completely forgot about those self-affirmations. They were no longer of use to me because here I was, losing myself again. I was breaking down and I was like, do we ever heal? Or was I rushing myself to heal? Then I realized that healing is a process. It takes time and it requires one to be patient.
