When I look in the mirror I see disease, famine and poverty
I see the hopes and dreams that I once had
Faded and eroded into wishes and nightmares
Who am I?
When I look in the mirror I see parts of me in constant conflict
Just because one part is a little lighter than the other
Just because one part has a different purpose
Who am I?
When I look in the mirror I see that the rich and the guilty
Are safer than the poor and the innocent
I see that what once was will bear scars in my mind
I see that what will be might not even happen
Who am I?
I am South Africa!
