In the 21st century
The youth is blinded by love, alcohol and drugs
Putting their bright future aside.
Or is it their bright future that’s flashing in their eyes?
They can’t even see they’re walking towards the effulgence.

Youngsters are running away from their responsibilities
Hiding behind the word freedom
They’re busy chasing and dirtying the streets
Spilling blood everywhere they go
Even in rivers blood is thicker than water
They have turned into morgues.

Parents are now burying what they gave life to
They planted the seeds
They harvested the seeds
And now they have to watch them perish
And take the roots out of the soil.
