(The three policemen arrive at Pastor Mlungisi Mthetho’s house. They’ve come to take the Pastor to jail on charges of raping a sixteen year old girl, Nomazwe Sihlahla.)
Police Jane Van De Kok: Good morning, Pastor Mthetho.
Pastor Mlungisi Mthetho: Good morning, gentlemen of the law.
Police Jane Van De Kok: How are you, sir?
Pastor Mlungisi Mthetho: I am fine, and how are the gentlemen of the law?
Police Jane Van De Kok: We are also fine. The reason we are here is to investigate and open a case against you on charges of raping Nomazwe Sihlahla.
Pastor Mlungisi Mthetho: I never slept with Nomazwe. She is lying about me.
Police Jane Van De Kok: The doctor will do a blood test on both of you. The blood test results will show whether you slept with her or not before further investigation will be made.
Pastor Mlungisi Mthetho: Please gentlemen, you must not believe that girl. She is trying to destroy my reputation in society.
Police Jane Van De Kok: The blood test results will come up with the truth.
Pastor Mlungisi Mthetho: Can I tell you my side of the story.
Police Jane Van De Kok: Yes, you can tell us.
Pastor Mlungisi Mthetho: While we were talking in the meeting at my house that the two of us were attending, she just pulled her dress up. I tried to ignore her and went to the kitchen. When I came back from the kitchen she was naked. I ended up sleeping with her because she wanted to sleep with me.
Police Jane Van De Kok: We do hear your story, but you should have refused because she is only sixteen years old.
Pastor Mlungisi Mthetho: I never knew her age.
Police Jane Van De Kok: Please, let’s go to the van.
(The three policemen take Pastor Mlungisi Mthetho to the van.)
