Sandiswa: Amandla students movement, amandla!

Andile: Students let’s go back to our classes and all SRC members to my office.

Student 1: Andile we’re not going to classes, we are going to clean our grounds.

Andile: Students please go to your classes and sit there while we are in a meeting.

Njabulo: (shake hands with DHET member) Thank you sir for your time, you can go now.

Andile: I know you’re all shocked about this meeting.

Lindy: Yes andile we are shocked. What is going on?

Andile: It’s about my position as president.

Njabulo: What about it, brother?

Andile: I don’t think I’m the right person for it for now…

Sandiswa: What are you saying?

Andile: Sandy this position is yours now and your deputy or vice president is any new student from this school.

[everyone looking at each other and shocked]

Sizwe : (rolling eyes) Andile I don’t get you, what’s really going on?

Andile: Guys as you know that this time SRC will be formed by ten students, so I’m trying to add more people and this girl really likes politics and she will be happy to be part of SRC.

Mbally: Okay and what will happen to you?

Andile: I will be on the department of sport, and I’ll be happy.

Njabulo: Okay where is she?

Andile: She is in the class guys and I wanted to talk to you before introducing her to you.

Lindy: Okay she is welcome brother

Andile: Okay thanks guys, this means we need to introduce the changes to the students.

Sandiswa: Okay now let’s call them to the assembly point for the last time today.

[everybody leaves and calls all students at assembly point]

Sandiswa: Students I greet you again, we had a meeting with SRC members.

Student 1: What was the meeting about?

Sandiswa: It was about the changes on the SRC leadership. We have new additional member who will be the deputy president.

Student 5: And what will you become?

Sandiswa: I am now your new president. We don’t have sports as of yet but Andile will be taking on that department when it’s available.

Student 1: Who is the additional member?

Andile: She’s a new student to this school in Grade 9.

Student 5: New student? Can we know the name?

Andile: Yes, a new student and her name is Nomusa Luthuli.

Njabulo: Please come forward Nomusa.

[Nomusa comes forward and hugs Andile and Njabulo. Nomusa looks at the students]

Nomusa: I greet you all. I’m happy to get this chance although it came as a surprise.

Lindy: Welcome home Nomusa and we hope we will work well together!

Nomusa: Thank you so much students!

Andile: We still need members to join the elections this year because SRC will be formed by ten students this year.

Student 5: Well Andile we don’t think we can compete against you, you are so good in this job and you deserve it.

Andile: You guys need to join please. We need you because if you don’t join we won’t have a SRC. That means we won’t have voice.

Student 3: We really wish we could but it’s not easy as you say Andile. We’re not good as good as you guys are.

Nomusa: I don’t know what to say to you but what I can is that we work as a team at SRC and no one is better than the other.

Andile: Thank you Nomusa for your support and I am sure we will have more candidates in the next elections.

Sandiswa: Election registrations are tomorrow. Please bring your ID and come to our offices for registration forms.

Nomusa: I’ll be handing out the forms, you can find me in my class if I’m not at our offices.

Andile: Thank you for your time, let’s meet tomorrow morning.

[everybody leave the school premises]
