(It is Sunday morning. Niall wakes up and goes downstairs.)

Niall: Morning sis.

Maggie: Morning. You look like someone who’s been run over by a train.

Niall: I have the worst headache in history! I need coffee.

Maggie: You should be fine now. You passed out the whole day yesterday. Mum and Dad kept asking about you. They were worried that you were sick.

Niall: What did you tell them?

Maggie: I told them the truth.

Niall: I have to do a better job of teaching you the responsibilities of being a younger sister.

Maggie: I wasn’t going to cover up something so obvious. You got into the house smelling like the bar. Your alcoholic scent and your sweat almost suffocated Mom.

Niall: Was I that bad?

Maggie: Beyond bad. Worse. What really happened to you on Friday?

Niall: I only remember fragments of the night. The rest is history.

Maggie: What are those fragments?

Niall: I remember having drinks with a girl, a beautiful girl. I don’t even remember her name.

Maggie: Did you have sex with her?

Niall: I believe so.

Maggie: She’ll be crushed to know that you forgot her name after she opened her legs for you.

Niall: Well, it was mutual. I wanted it and she wanted it too.

Maggie: You’re badass. A Casanova.

Niall: It takes two to stir the feelings up!

Maggie: Whatever. There was a girl who came yesterday looking for you.

Niall: What was her name?

Maggie: Stacy Fuller.

Niall: What did she want? Did she say anything?

Maggie: She came to dump your ass. She said don’t ever try to contact her again. She somehow caught you snogging another girl on Friday night. How could you?

Niall: She was stingy. I had no choice. I’m hot-blooded.

Maggie: Listen to you. You’re not even sorry that you cheated on her.

Niall: Why should I be? She saw that coming. You can’t refuse a guy to tap you and think that he’ll remain a loyal dog. We’re men. Our eyes wander without any boundaries.

Maggie: I don’t believe I’m listening to this.

Niall: You have to. Where are the adults?

Maggie: They went to have lunch with the members of the church.

Niall: What time is it?

Maggie: (Checks her phone) It’s half past eleven.

Niall: What? Have I been asleep for twenty-four hours?

Maggie: Yes.

(There is a knock on the door)

Niall: I’ll get that.

(Niall walks up to the door. He opens it. His eyes meet Jessy’s.)

Niall: Oh, hi Jessy, do come in!

(Jessy walks into the house.)

Jessy: Thank you.

Maggie: Hi Jessy!

Jessy: Hi Maggie!

Niall: Would you like anything to drink? Coffee? Water? Juice?

Jessy: Still water would be just fine.

Niall: Coming up! Could you please come this way?

(They go to the kitchen. Niall takes a bottle of water from the fridge and gives it to Jessy)

Niall: Maggie, would you please give us some privacy?

Maggie: Okay. I’ll be in my room.

Niall: Thank you.

(Maggie marches off to her room)

Niall: So, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit at this hour?

Jessy: It’s half past eleven. Why am I not surprised? You had a hell of a Friday, and you’re still in your robes.

Niall: You heard about that too?

Jessy: Was it a secret? Oh, sorry, you didn’t have to do it in a public space.

Niall: Are you mad at me?

Jessy: Saying I’m mad at you is an understatement. You disappointed me!

Niall: I’m sorry. I don’t know what demon pushed me into doing all I did that day.

Jessy: It’s too late for apologies. How can you lick another girl’s tits when I am your girlfriend? Do you know what picture that painted of my womanhood?

Niall: There are no words to say except sorry. I genuinely am. I promise to never again be involved in such activities.

Jessy: You’re too late. Whatever we had is the past. It all ended that night.

Niall: But, are there no second chances? Please, just one more chance.

Jessy: I can’t date a Casanova.

Niall: I thought you went by the dictum that everyone deserves a second chance?

Jessy: I still do, but there are always exceptions.

Niall: I’m not angry at you for what you’re doing.

Jessy: Why would you be? You got what you wanted and you’re busy selecting your next victim. I know how you roll now.

Niall: I don’t know what to say.

Jessy: You don’t have to say anything. Goodbye. Thanks for the bottle.

(Jessy leaves. Maggie comes racing into the kitchen)

Maggie: And?

Niall: She ended things between us. What a loss! She was a keeper.

Maggie: You’re heartbroken?

Niall: No, just hurt, a little. She didn’t deserve this.

Maggie: I’m going out. I don’t need to comfort you.

Niall: Sure.

(Maggie leaves.)
