When I look back to this grinning, hot and screaming 2021, I look back with tears in my eyes. A broken year, an open month, hidden and yet cold blooded. We have fought and yet we have lost. COVID has taken, looting has damaged and unemployment is just a tip of the iceberg. A pack of depressed youth and gender-based cases rising, 2021 – an oozing wound!

When I look forward, with my head held high. I see a greener, fighting and united South Africa. Sounds of new-borns heard a mile away, COVID has taken and God has given. Hope lies on the hands of these innocent souls, our philosophers. Tomorrow awaits, hang in there (screams fresh voices). The sun will set again and this time we will be waiting with our machetes and pangas ready for a fight. Our fighting spirit still lives!
