It is often too easy for us to ask God for a blessing or to help us during tough times. But, what if he asks us to do something for Him in return?

My Real Life is in Him
I always try to remind myself on a daily basis that my real is in God, with God, and for God. That I should not desire or be occupied with the things of this world. God requests that we live for Him and Him alone. We should serve Him faithfully, do what He expects from us and bless others. We are not put on this earth to live only for ourselves, seek only our own desires and not care about anyone else but ourselves. Selfishness is a sin that can have dire consequences.

Please Give
We should do all things for His glory, and not our own. God wants to bless us, but how can He bless us if we are always trying to bless ourselves. We should also care for others by giving. And I’m not talking about mere money or gifts, but giving ourselves, our time and our efforts. God loves the generous, those who give without expecting something in return, because they know that God’s reward is everlasting, greater than we could even imagine.

Trust in the His Guidance
God wants to teach His children how to live. He wants to teach us how to live good, fruitful lives, and also encourage others to do the same. He gave us the Holy Spirit to guide and teach us all things good and pure, and we should trust in His guidance for our own salvation. The Holy Spirit is a trust-worthy guide that we can always rely on, no-matter what our circumstances may look like. We can and should trust His voice.

Serve Him Faithfully
It is often too easy for us to ask God for a blessing or to help us during tough times. But, what if he asks us to do something for Him in return? We should be bringing Him gifts, not the other way around. We should serve and love Him for who he is, and not merely what we can get from Him. God loves us dearly and wants to give us all the good things right here on earth and in heaven. But, the only way He can do that is if we, without complaining, serve Him faithfully.

Serving God requires that we submit ourselves to Him anew, every day, and do what the Holy Spirit prompt us to do. Are you willing to start serving Him faithfully today?
