From a brief standing ovation, you could hear the loud noise from the audience as the performer took a bow under the spotlight. Like they were kissing at the centre of the stage, the curtains met in the middle, bringing the first show to an end. The lights were out once again, and the audience was in silence, waiting patiently for the next act to come on stage.

“Where is Princess?” asked the choreographer. The dance crew had been working tirelessly for days creating the sequence for a new dance routine. “I don’t have time for this, can someone please find Princess!” he continued. Princess was nowhere to be found, and the other dancers in the dance crew were beginning to get irritated by the delay she was causing.

“We can’t find her, Mr Naidoo,” said Princess’ dance mate. The second act had to go on, and the crew had no choice but to continue without their lead dancer.

“And now is time for the main event of the night!” shouted the MC responsible for organising the dance show. “Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Superstar dance crew,” he continued. The audience jumped up and down as they welcomed the dance crew. A Hip-Hop song went off, and the crew began dancing, lighting the stage on fire. This was what the attendees had bought their tickets for. Then all of a sudden, while the dance crew was dancing, a dead woman fell down from the ceiling onto the stage.

“Oh my goodness, it is Princess!” they shouted. The audience began evacuating the theatre, running for their lives and screaming.

“Somebody call the police, now,” shouted the MC. “Everyone please calm down, the police are on the way,” he continued as people ran to their nearest exits. The stage had blood stains and flies roaming around.

“Tell us what happened,” interrogated the policeman while writing a statement during an engagement with Mr Naidoo. “When was the last time you spoke to the murder victim?” he continued. He was shaking and choking on his own words.
The police interrogated most of the people who were there, leaving no stone unturned in their quest to find the truth.

“May everyone kindly hand over their cell phones,” shouted one of the policemen. They searched for leads, looking at messages and old calls, including voicemails each person had had with Princess over the past 24 hours. They managed to call Princess’ cell phone, which rang deep inside on Mr Naidoo’s pocket.

“What the hell is going on here?” shouted the policeman, snatching Mr Naidoo by the arm.

“I can explain officer, it is not what it looks like,” Mr Naidoo pleaded.

“Hand over the cell phone now!” shouted the policemen. He realised that the cell phone had been recording an audio for over an hour, and listened to the audio recording. Princess had recorded her murder as Mr Naidoo strangled her to death, and Mr Naidoo was sentenced to life in prison.
